Vacuum or exhaust leaks will cause it to run rich (O2 sensor is seeing more air so is dumping more fuel). Mine was doing that and my plugs were fouled out pretty quickly. Do you have Facebook? There is a good group of people to help on there. I ran my white wire right to the battery while I figure out the system. I did have it hooked to my electric choke wire but will probably hook it up to a switch inside the will then go to the battery, will be a good killswitch also.

Are you getting any fault codes? What ignition set up do you have?
