Dana 60 use shims for all of the clearances and preloads, the best way to do it in my opinion. Zap the pinion nut off and tap the yoke out and then replace the seal, nothing to it Make sure and drain the gear oil out and clean the housing up real clean around the front where the seal goes in and tighten the heck out of the pinion nut, 240 FT Lbs+ I use a real thin layer of sealant type silicone on the seal before tapping it into the housing, unless the seal has a bead of teflon on it already Good luck Let us know the results
