Putting a vinyl top back on isn't a terrible thing if you do it right. AKA, not how the factory did it. But you also wont need to explain that your car isn't a convertible even though it has a "rag top". I say that bc of a guy in a junkyard telling us he has a 69 coronet ragtop he's selling, then you tell your uncle and he pulls up to find a 69 coronet 4 door with a vinyl top lol.
