That's sort of what I'm thinking.... how full (how close to bottom of block's pan rail) the pan is. That means that if you had a factory OEM dipstick & tube and you put a Moroso 9qt. deep sump pan on the motor, the dipstick would still read correct (just the pan holds more oil).

Can anyone else confirm this?

The problem that worries me is that the factory OEM dipstick is long gone....not sure I ever had it. All I have is this bent up aftermarket chrome tube & stick calibrated to who knows what. PLUS, I'm not 100% sure what the volume of my Milodon oil pan is.... supposed to be a "six pack" pan.

Any other comments/tips are appreciated. Anyone know the factory part numbers?
