I don't know.... Cooper tires are still made in the USA, although they do own tire companies in the UK and China. I know opinions vary on whether they make any UHP tires, but it just seems wrong to put foreign tires on an American classic. Even Michelin tires make my skin crawl.
My goof. I thought they were owned by the Brits. I guess it is the other way around, which actually is pretty cool. Avon makes the only remaining Z rated UHP 15" tires out there for handling applications.
Looks like Cooper also owns MT, which explains why the MT ST and Cooper Cobra look nearly identical. They also own 11% of Kumho and 51% of Chengshan. For other fans out there, Cooper also makes Dean, Futura, Arizonian, Mastercraft, Starfire, Hercules, and Sears Gaurdsmans.
