When I disassembled my car I made baggies of every nut/bolt/bracket/etc. Since plating houses don't generally deal with small details like keeping everything sorted, I found this the perfect opportunity to get into plating. What an absolute blessing it has been to be able to plate on demand and ensure things get back to their correct location. The other plus is it allows me to tailor the finish to exactly what I need.

Do you plate for yourself or business? If so, what all can you plate?

I do it for myself mostly, turned into a separate hobby, currently do Zinc Phosphate, Manganese Phosphate, Electrodeposited zinc (vary the brighteners to achieve a multitude of finishes), finish with a chromate in clear/blue, yellow, black, or OD. Now that I have a really good handle on these I'm looking into sulfuric acid anodizing.
