Turn the bolt until you think it won't take any more and whack the link as close as possible to the joint. It'll pop right off.


I see your puller and raise you this one. Hands down a much better design. Load up the puller in decent tension and if it doesn't let loose, a tap with a hammer will get it. I've used this one hundreds of times.
