Definitely try another timing light. IMO dial backs are garbage.
See what I said..some like the dial back... but yet MSD says DONT USE THEM... that Flaming River is the best I own. and I have a FEW.. no battery to hook up.. clip it on the wire(it makes a difference which way its pointed)
