I have had a few 572's (4.50" x 4.50"). All with Diamond pistons. Two with 7.1" rods and .990 pins (2.20" rods). Neither had the pin in the oil ring. I had one for heavy nitrous once that had thicker domes and the rings moved down. It had the pin in the oil ring.
