You may be right but owning a set years ago I know they are tight as are my keith blacks. I had a set on my 500 inch engine that ran 275 passes running 8.60's. No block fill, no girdle, but went I tore it down the block was cracked up through the usual place. No warning no water leakage just cracked. Better than stock? YES. Better than aluminium? NO WAY.
