Back to the question at hand. The reason I bushed mine lifter bores was for two reasons.
1). Oil control to the top
2.) I moved the lifter angle on a raised cam block.

Changing the lifter angle made the lifter bore expose more of the oil hole than was desired so the bushing fixed everything.

Al has been nothing but great to work with as far as answering questions and helping me make my junk go faster so to nit pick at him is counter-productive in my opinion.
