Anyhow here's my experience: Gen 1, 5.9 @5500#: good tow on hilly interstates Gen 2, Hemi @ 5500#: easy tow on hilly interstates Gen 2 Hemi @ 8500#: OK tow with straight hitch and surge brakes. Would be good tow with weight distributing hitch and electric brakes. Thank you, we just got an '08 Durango, V8 non-hemi, came w/ towing package and such even some sort of Electronic sway control, were gonna try towing w/ it a little bit this season, just gotta put the brake controller in it yet. Taking over the World one win light at a time.
