It's what they used to call a crash box. For drag cars - use the clutch once at the start, shift gears under power while NOT using the clutch. Gotta pull hard and fast though, no leisurely shifting thru the gears. And usually you don't try downshifting like with a normal trans. If you read the "Notes" section in the Liberty install sheets I posted is states that "you MUST use the clutch in all gears".


Or let it hit the rev limiter, that monetary drop will let it shift.
