I have used both the back and the fitting on the top for single lines systems depending on the motors used in different chassis, B-RB in A bodys and B-RB and 426 Hemi in B and E bodys Both work fine, I like to use the rear one if I can due to not making the oil go around a 90 degree turn in the cover to get into the pump
