Word ! I developed my touch bumping off the zero with the 1 " or the 0-1/2 " with the ball attachment for doing curved surfaces. ( bearing shells ) I never developed a taste for digital stuff..........the micrometers just looked too bulky and I already had nice dial calipers that I liked. But they sure are easier to read. I have a 12 " caliper ( non - dial ) that I need a magnifying glass to get right to the gnat's ass when measuring stuff.
