Nope.... the countersunk bolt goes into the block, and only two of the waterpump bolts go through to the block. The other two thread into the cover.

On my 9.2 R3 and the sand cast cover all 4 bolts in
the pump go all the way to the block... I have 4 studs
in it.. in this pic the top were bolts.. I later changed
to studs

now you have me wondering but all 4 studs were the
same length
