Thanks for the info. This is the first time I've messed around with small block stuff. I never imagined there were so many variables. Just to make sure I understand, an R3 9.00 block & an R3 9.20 block have the same water pump port & lower pump bolt hole location with a different port shape. The upper pump bolt hole locations are different for the 9.0 & the 9.2. Correct? If this is correct, I also need a new motor plate to make this motor fit the car.
