Is this a powergrip hd? I have one behind my 500+ hp 440. Admittedly I didn't really let it break in because the engine was fresh too. I had been turned off by Ram a long time ago but someone I knew ran a 10.97 with a single disc ram, so I figured I'd do it. Plus I wanted a B&B. My car had 2.94 gears when I got it back together with M&H J60s. A few clutch dumps went good and spun hard, but it seems now that sometimes it isn't smoking the tires. I've not smelled clutch though, so I'm not sure. Lots going against it, and I knew I was taking a risk, so I'm not complaining. I was basically doing 2nd gear clutch dumps with sticky tires. I'm not sure if I'd just replace it or go to a CFDF. I like a firm pedal/ B&B feel so I went with the Ram.
