If it were my car I would have kept up. However, Im not going to break it to the owner that the tag isn't real. Not my place to do so. Somebody else can break that news to him. Nor do I even want that argument and hit him with "just go look on moparts , I posted about your car and everyone says its a repop". Again, not my car, and I shouldn't have posted about it in the first place. Was just curious as I haven't seen that before. There is enough knowledge in this post already without my postings anymore.

I agree with you that people piled on. You don't have a lot of posts here. IMHO, rather than get cr@ppy and hostile, why not explain nicely why most replying people do not like post's deleted. And that will help your ability for future responses to questions answered.

I agree that it is not a Moparts Rule that you can't delete a post.

I don't know who owns this car and I doubt many if any others do. And if they do, I bet they already know about the tag.

I don't think you would have got as correct or as good of answer without the picture of the tag. Double edged sword with that.

Anyway you look at it, you know more now about reading fender tags than you did before.

That knowledge will help you make more informed buying decisions in the future. And could prevent you from valuing something incorrectly causing you disappointment and $$$.
