Fully ported a 440-2D will flow upwards of 360 CFM, so added response and roll on torque (it's only excessive if you WANT it to be with the loud pedal) is a big plus on the street, and VS all but the best single planes you're not giving up very much (if anything) up top at 500 cubes. Want more up top?, I'd try running a bigger carb before ptching an EXCELLENT MW manifold
