It's the cam duration, LSA (overlap), and installed centerline, not advertised lift that matters because the valves are closest to hitting the piston in the overlap period, just before and after TDC.

I don't know which pistons those are, but I would check the thickness of the piston at the valve notch.

I was thinking of cutting the valve notches deeper in my KB ICON pistons, but the piston is only about 0.210" thick at the valve notch already.
