I have read that 2295 pistons need a fly cut on the edge of the valve releif, at what valve lift is this required?

It really depends on the cam lobes and lobe seperation angles, there is probally not a certain valve lift for every cam that you need to cut the pistons more for valve to piston clearances I've seen some of the Mopar brand camshaft BB grinds not fit well with those pistons where a bigger solid roller race cam(different brands) fit better Plan on checking any aftermarket race or big street and strip cam for valve to piston clearances The opening rates on the cam lobes determine when and if the pistons will come close to the valves in the overlap cycles
