Two other things came to mind, especially because you'd mentioned the idle characteristics a couple of times.

1. Where's your ignition curve set up, both initial timing & total?

2. Your primary metering block IFR (Idle Feed Restriction) may need to be enlarged SLIGHTLY to provide more fuel on the idle circuit w/ the bigger cam. How many turns out are your idle mixture screws now?

Both of the above can have a pretty major impact on how it idles.
