Reason I ask this question is that my 2002 2500 had a catch can just behind the radiator. When it got full from oily moisture the fans would scatter that mess all over the back of the radiator. Older trucks had a overheating problem because of this. Some of the diesel forums had suggestions on re-locating the catch can to the D/S wheel well.

I know some of these trucks, 03-05 I think and the new 6.7's have a crankcase vent filter on the valve cover. Is this what you're talking about?

No, it was an actual puke tank that would eventually overflow into the radiatior and gum it up. Just wondering if my 08 has the same thing
