Yes and no is correct. The engineer explained all that to me. The flare, the burr that ripped paper element, the solution, etc. He said several times that he reproduced the early version.
Even went to the trouble of showing me and comparing the current repro one that another well known vendor is offering. (And why the metal facade is currently offered like it is).
