I think I understand the interest in green bearings, but whats the reason for new tapered axles, which most do not favor? I bet there are many, including myself, that have sets laying around heading for the scrap yard.

And mine are 62's which I'm guessing are too short.

The reason is quite simple really. I'm restoring a '63 Plymouth and all I currently have is an empty rear end housing. To me, the tapered axle ends poking through the rear rims are one of visual details needed in an early B-body car. Used OEM axles also might not be as strong as the aftermarket "steel" axles that are available for 65 (and newer) rear ends.
