well the 200$ JY 904 made it 4 yrs as a daily driver,lost 2nd 1x,got it back with band adjustment. went 2 more yrs. got to slipping in low/revs, band adjustment took care of that and I did the front band again with the service. works nice for the last 6 months. then one morning it shifts funny.. no 2nd 1st,3rd, lock up and ride sally ride. drove it 2-3 days no problem. go to work...

then I had a fun ride home. the front of the bed floor and bulkhead is rusted away and has a nice gap. i have a tiedown pull strap hooked on eyeloops in both bed sides just in front of the tool box.

well the long end of the strap finaly slips down thru it and wraps around the drive shaft. jerked the truck in a downward motion and bang! i thought the trans locked up and fell out or a driveshaft...something bad.

nope i look under there and see it wraped around the shaft. i look in the bed and the tiedown is still across in front of the tool box. but the end was like this.
