Hows 'bout (I'm not a fan of them either) a cowl scoop closed off at the back with 2 custom air inlet scoops on each side in the front.

Maybe you could graft something like a pair of Cuda or Chally style scoops in there. Who knows maybe the nose of your 6 Pack scoop can be grafted near the front. Hey Ted, too funny.............

It would be low and street friendly and pick up some air from the nose of the car.
