Hi!

I have a wilwood adjustable proportioning valve that I plan to install on my race car.

My race car is about 3000 lbs automatic, with a HEMI.

I have front wilwood drag discs up front with 10.75" rotors and dr. diffs rear discs out back with 10,7" rotors.

I know the proportioning vlave is always installed on the rear brake line on street cars.....

But I was wondering if on a race car, equipped with front skinnies (I run 27" x 4,5") and rear slicks (I run 33" x 10,5"w) this would have to change??? Should I put the proportioning valve up front to prevent the front tires to lock out since they are so narrow?

Thanks!

We install them on the back brakes especially when running big slicks on the rear.We adjust till the front just starts to nose down. You don't want the slicks to lock up sooner since most weight is on the front. If the slicks lock up first or harder than the fronts then you have a good chance of the slicks breaking loose and seeing the track from directions other than forward.
