I had a 1/4-20 nut fall down an intake runner,fired it off and it made a heck of a noise till it spit it out the header. sounded like the rattle ball in a can of paint while idling.

didnt seem to hurt anything,ran it for a few yrs after that. when i R&R the head it looked like a shotgun blast with birdshot.

thousands of small nicks in the top of piston but none on the head or cyl. exhast vale had normal carbon pitting.

so maybe he is not makeing that up.

with the plastic straw??? I would think it would melt and not damage anything.

but then again the melted plastic could get into the ring land and stick a ring in the groove or something like that.

do you feel lucky? then roll the dice.

if in doubt??? get it out.
