Thing is, that's on the Interstate and most people really don't spend that much time on the Interstate with their big cam'd hot rods so when they're cruising on the highway at 55-60 they're usually in that range....plus it's not like you're going to see a huge mileage gain with something that gets 10-12mpg by using an OD especially when most hot rods are LUCKY to see 2,000-4,000 miles/year....

I don't understand why people are so worried about that extra 500-1,000 rpm when they'd be hard pressed to put 30,000 miles on a car in TEN YEARS.....

If down low enough in the revs turn it off... no problem
and if the opportunity to use it happens flip it on
and if I do get to drop a 1000 rpm its a help... and
yes if you can drop a 1000 rpms and get better mileage
its great... these are bad enough on mileage so if
I can gain 2 or 3 MPG its a big plus... JMO but thats
the way I built mine.... and MOST of the guys on DW
are running OD
