DR- Nice Challenger! You are correct, the car started out with 1970 grille and tail lights, but then at some time was converted to 1971 status. We wanted to stay with the 1970 trim because that is how it showed up in the November 1970 Hot Rod magazine article, and that was how it looked when it won "Best Engineered" at Indy. The whole debut this weekend was deliberate, kinda the idea of returning to where it first showed up, and won immediate recognition for the build quality. Also, the die cast car was built to 1970 specs, so that played into the keeping it as a 1970 car. Appreciate the compliments!
