You need to show some love the NASCAR R5P7 and the R9's.
850+hp @9000 rpms 358cid for 500 miles. Seems pretty stout set up to me.
Then drop the compression, hang a set of twins off it. that might be hard to beat. Only down fall I see to this combo would be the valves, might eat a few before you get it right...
