I had a Mondello Hydraulic (ground by Engle BTW) in a 10.5:1 455 that I stuffed in a 77 Caddy Seville. Talk about a sleeper! iused to bust 5.0's and wave 'bye-bye' through the sunroof at them

But I agree a Performer RPM will easily make 600/600. Jeff at Modern has an excellent CNC program that uses a 2.19 intake (well recommended for a stroker) and flows IIRC around 320 with a big fat mid lift .250-.450 flow curve. Combined with a ported Holley Street Dominator and a 950-1000HP carb and a ~260/266@.050 .630 lift cam with wider 111-112 centers in around 107 would be better suited to a 4 speed by spreading the mid range torque out a bit compared to a tighter 108 and improve the hook/drivability. I guess my point is with the Max wedge ports available you can gain more power up top without sacrificing much if any in the lower ranges compered to a smaller higher velocity port. with a 4 speed taking a little grunt off the bottom and shifting it up the powerband might actually make the car easier to hook.
