Hi Robert, The more I turn the timing back to where it would actually show as normal the more the guage bounces and it goes further than 19 to 21, such as 17 to 23 or so. I know the distrubuter was rebuilt before I got the car. Could it be a tooth off when it was put back in the engine? Just a thought. The idle speed was turned down.
Thanks so much for your help. It is drivable now where as before it would die when I put it in gear. This is an improvement though not correct, it is better than before.
My wife said I need to make a new friend locally who works on cars, sounds like a plan.
