I pulled the header off and I can see oil running down the stem of #4 exhaust valve. I can see the guides and it hasn't moved. It's dry around the little bit of the guide that sticks through but the stem is wet and you can actually see the trail it has left going down the stem. So it looks good that it's just the seal.

If anyone knows a better fitting seal I'd appreciate it. I still have not mastered the search function here.
