mine definately not stupid fast. We built it originally in 1981 or '82 with technology from then.
Stock items- 340 std. bore block, crank, rods, pistons, small valve heads, std valves & springs.
727 trans with reverse shift pattern.

Aftermarket items- unknown converter flashes to 4600 rpm, .509 Mopar cam, Holley Strip Dominator, 750 DP carb, MSD ign. narrowed 8 3/4 rear, 12 pt. cage, fiberglass hood, 28x8 slicks with steel wheels, street tires on front with 14" Cragars, Gabriel (LOL) shocks, 4.56 gear, S/S springs. We've changed shocks to QA1, Welds & M/T tires all the way around. Haven't run it yet with any changes we've made.

Performance- 2700 DA showed an 11.95 @ 111 mph.
Launch @ 3500, shift @ 6200-6500, cross the line @ 6500, have twisted it to 7200, still pulling.
Actual numbers are- 60' 1.68, 1/8- 7.71 @ 90 mph, 1/4- 12.19 @ 109 off the throttle at the line.

At local track S/P is 0-7.75 1/8 mile, Pro 0-8.99 1/8 mile, Sportsman 12.00 & up 1/4 mile. So I guess I could run any of the 3, not that I'd be competetive.

It's a 1973 Duster & it's not stupid fast, but I enjoy it & we do little things to make it quicker.
