Maybe for a race car,for a street car? Come on!! I did mine much like Challenger1. Used 1 1/2x 2 1/2 slid over the rear stub and welded front and rear. Never touched the floor pan. Made an entirely new car!!! Easiest and cheapest($40.00) mod I've done!
