Anyone have any HP/TQ #'s on gas vs alcohol. Motor is a W2 headed 416 @ 11.2CR. Best pass to date on gas is 10.50 @ 126. Jim

it will pickup with alcohol.injected more than carb in my opinion.put a rons flying toilet on it and throttle response on your first burnout with out a rev limiter will scare you.

I will have to change my Mallory 4309 regulator to a 4307M. And I shouldbe good to go. Will I need to change the heat range on my plugs? I have never run alcohol. I called Spanky yesterday and he says it should fire right up.

Thats no lie! Took me 5 burnouts to keep it off the limiter

I agree.
When I first switched to alky and a Ron's injection, the throttle response was absolutely amazing. Nice torque improvement, consistant, etc.

It is hard to figure for a few reasons. Injection gives you less vacuum (restriction) than a carb, and the higher the rpm you build power, the closer the two fuels come. I was told by one engine builder that he could make more power on gas. I never tried it myself, but he is very knowledgeable. In your situation you may see a tenth, maybe as much as three tenths if everything goes in your favor. I gained about a tenth on my switch from Dominator to Terminater, which doubled the airflow at 1.5 inch vacuum. throttle response was impressive. Put it on the bumper the very first pass.
