Pumpkin is not in car.... I have the yoke in my vice, and feel like I'm gonna rip the vice right off the bench!

Build a large box nut that has a long handle on it to hold the yoke.
Turn off the nut with an impack wrench.
Easier if you leave the re in the car until nut is loose.

If you don't have an impact gun or the 1 you have isn't strong enough, but you have a socket, maybe take it to a tire shop and see if the can break it loose for you. Les Schwab may not, but BigO Is usually pretty helpful around here.

I don't have air tools in my garage. I do have a buddy that's a tech at a Dodge dealer. I can run it out to him. I'll probably just do that.

With it out, make it a 2 man job-- one guy on a big pipe wrench to hold the yoke, another on a breaker bar on the nut

This also works well with the carrier still installed and a one man operation, using the floor to hold the pipe wrench

Or... Take it to your buddy!!

.Here is what I used to pull the yolk. Works great on the pump in my 727 as well. The next post is a picture of the Pipe wrench in place.

The pipe wrench by myself. Breaker bar and it popped right off. Just rotated the pipe wrench untill it hit the floor pan. Although I really like the box that bolts to the pinion snubber boss.
Great idea.

If it's really rusted, heating it up "cherry red" with the torches may be needed too.

Electric impact gun, one of the best investments I've made. Quick and has lots of power.
