Does anyone know about how many degrees the axle twists upwards with caltracs? I'm finishing up the dana and it's time to weld on the perches. My trans is 2 degrees down so I know where I'm at there. My driveshaft is 44" so I can get the driveshaft angle easy enough. I just want to try to work in some of the axle twist to set my perches right.

-2 to -4 degree pinion angle. set your perches for 0 to -2

Thanks. I also need to add that the springs are moved in about 4 inches, and my front spring eye is about 1 inch lower than the factory mount, which makes the leaf spring angle more from the rear to the front than a factory mounted spring. This is one of the reasons I'm looking for about how many degrees of twist I should expect.

I worried about how the spring angle played into pinion angle also so I mocked the housing up on the springs and tack welded the perches then removed it to weld it up.

If you haven't purchased spring perches yet, you might want to look at what Calvert is selling. Best spring perches I've seen.

I have the perches and it's already mocked up and ready to be tacked. I just need to know how many degrees of twist to expect so I can work that into it.

Thats pretty much what I was referring to with the Calvert perches.

Always Randy!! Some of us Jersey boys are capable too. Granted, my welding equipment isn't as glamorous as yours, but it gets the job done.
Boxing in looks like a good plan also.

Glamour is'nt what it's cracked up to be if ya don't know how to use it yet.

Yeah but it's still awesome equipment! If nothing else, it looks cool in the garage!
