I'm sure the original cars I've looked at were done that way, probably because to spray just the stripe once the car is painted would require allot more masking...
And yes I'm sure the stripes were gloss..

Any pictures? I have a fender tag decoded by Galen and he states stripes were semi gloss...
A Challenger fender tag for a V9* stripe, or something different? There were tape stripes that were semi gloss, but the painted Challenger bumble bee stripes were gloss.
My 70 R/T was original paint before I started on it, and the stripe was clearly painted first, then the body color.

The stripe paint and the body paint were the same?? And why didn't they use a decal for this stripe option like the horizontal one?
They don't look the same on the white car above.

When I painted my stripe on my 70 Challenger I bought the paint EW1 per paint code (single stage) 2x , and both times it was to creamy, 3rd time I ended up sanding down the trunk lid and took it in to have it matched. The difference was almost like picture shows on above pictured challenger.

Does anyone have the stripe drawing with the list of Ditzler paint codes to use?

EW1 is actually an antique white.

I've never seen any documentation that lists all the available colors and the paint codes.

Bingo, thats is right. 1970 EW1 = more of a dirty , antique, creamy, white as compared to 1971 on up. The color I got the first 2x I had paint mixed (EW1) for my stripe was like the body color on the white EW1 challenger pictured above. My stripe was not that color. It was a shade or two lighter and cleaner looking more like the stripe on said car. If you own that white challenger sand some paint off the trunk lid about a foot up or pop that wing off and let us know how it matches the body color. I bet it's lighter not a true 1970 EW1 (antique) body color white.
