Hello We have a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger with a 1970 340 std bore ,stock 340 pistons,J heads 202 ,160 valves with a 484 cam and the intake is from Mopar Perfromance and looks like a M1 , It is a SB intake and we have a 650 Holley SB,DP and it works fine. 727 trans. 3000 stall. 323 rear, stock exhaust manifolds with 2 1/2 with 40s flowmaster muffers. The intake did not have any heater hose hook ups or a place for a manuel temp unit ,we put them in the intake. also we have a 4"x14" K&N air filter on it. [IMG]http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/ The K&N 4"X14" AIR FILTER WAS ADDED AFTER PICTURES WERE TOOK,

Mainly due to the 2500 stall, I would suggest the 650/750 vacuum secondary carbs. I would also suggest to choose one with adjustable circuits (IAB's/HSAB's and IFR's) This makes future engine modifications easier to tune.
Intake: RPM/RPM Airgap.

What carp intake combo would you use?
This question sounds kind of fishy to me.....
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Edelbrock RPM Airgap and 650 double pumper Holley.

LD340 or an Airgap with a 650DP Holley and I'd change the converter to a PTC 3,500. But that's just me.

LD340 is a nice unit but its usually better to go with a new in production and readily available part. I say the Perf RPM/Air Gap or a Weiand Stealth. I had an LD340 on a 340 and it was great- However I knew first hand is was not an overmilled unuasable part.
Keep old mopars alive.

Anybody know about demon carbs? Would you recommend one?
Barry Grant went belly up, so no, I wouldn't. Plus there have been numerous issues with them, including metal shavings clogging them up. I'd stick with a good ole Holley 4777.
2boltmain has a good point about the LD340. Many have been milled by previous owners.

It's hard to beat the Performer RPM air-gap intake for that setup. The 750cfm carb is good. I just looked at summit racing and they have a house brand 750, that looks like a holley knock off on sale for $251. Anyone use one of these carbs? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-M08750VS/?rtype=10
Looks like a Holly 4010/4011 marketed under a Summit label, have seen a couple run well on mild combo's, but Holley dropped them for some reason
