I dont have a dog in the Q16 fight but in my opinion it should be the fastest 16 on the property. Bad enough that there were not enough dragsters in the 7's but to not have a full field of door cars because there were several in the 8.0's to 8.20's is a bum deal. There were alot of spectators at Monster Mopar and they came to see two cars racing not a bunch of singles.

We are looking forward to attending this event in Indy. We always wanted to go to the St. Louis deal, but it was too far and usually too HOT, so we never did. However lord willing we will be attending this event, it really sounds great. The only problem I have with this race, is that it sounds so inviting that you wish it were this week-end, so therefore we have wished the summer away anxiously awaiting this race. Have a Q16 for the fastest cars that show up, regardless of door/dragster. Charge high and pay high.

I thought we were short on both classes in 2009 Mark. If I mis-stated, I sincerely apologize. If the field was full and the bump was 7.99 there was no problem canabalizing the SP field anyway. Since this will be a new event even though it has the old name, I would not limit it to 7.99 but thats just my 2 cents. And probably why I am a racer and not a promoter Its too bad it aint like it was when I first started coming and we had 7 or 8 door cars in the 6's and Wheatcraft's Neon would barely make it in. Sign of the times I guess. Would love to see Rick Corn bring his ride back in. Thats a bad hombre right there.

Eric, in '09 we were short on both sides and I did let 2 low 8 second door cars in the field on the condition that they dial 7.99 or faster. That year Monster Mopar was scheduled against something Division 3 was doing in Ohio.

I learned a lot in the six years I ran MMW, it is VERY eye opening to be on the management side. I thought racing my car was stressfull.............

Try standing in a room full of hardcore, 7 second racers who have supported your event for years and telling them the dragster and door car fields will have to be combined. One of the worst moments I have ever had at a racetrack.

I have been racing quick races for the better part of 20 years dragsters and door cars and I can honestly tell you I don't care about running slower cars digs or doors. What chaps me is a incomplete field,it is not the car it is the driver YOU must be on your game too beat anyone.The only person with an advantage is the driver who races someone who does not have a handle on his or her car.We need to remember the economy is in the toilet and money is tight so allot of cars are on blocks lets not let are "ego's"(Im too cool to run someone who don't have as much money as me)get in the way of a great time and pretty dam good pay.Lets help out all we can to get threw this first year and make it great over a period of time.before you know it the bump will take care of its self.Remember more cars = more prize money do you want to be known for winning a quick 32 with some killer dead on drivers for 5000.00 or a quick 17 for 2000.00 where the cars ran all over and the race was won by luck because there was not even enough money to prep the track.I have a 235 inch spitzer 4-link 6.0 cert car with race pack,msd dig7 ignition,indy 596 with b1-mc heads, missile dry sump,top dragster trans,fogger,base plate kit,what I feel is a top shelf car and worked hard for 20 years to get it.I AM BETTER THAN NO ONE!!! and will race anyone with a safe car.LET THEM RACE AND THEN CHEER FOR THEM IN THE FINAL IF THEY PUT YOU ON THE TRAILER TO GET THERE is the attitude that will bring this race to greatness!!

I know of at least 15 7 second rides with the same attitude as me and we will be there racing anyone and everyone who thinks they can whip us.When I was younger some of the older guys voted raised the bump to get me into the race and I WILL do the same for anyone trying there best to get there.

We will do are best to get you in if you want. Why Should anyone cry about running a 5.0 car the lake erie monster 3.90's don't ball about running us @ 4.60's.

Is it just dragsters, or can altereds come play if they are quick enough?

in the past at cc it was open wheel and door cars but it is joshes show and it is up to him.I don't care what it is race it imo but I will find out for you.
