I am thinking about modifying a 65 B body K frame to accept a 70-72 B/E sway bar. Has anyone done this, or thought about doing this? What do you think?

I compared the 65 and 69 K frames. The 69 bar brackets will bolt on after you drill the holes.
I have no idea about the later sway bar.

I was going to put a 70-72 K frame in my 65 B body to get the integrated sway bar, but after some research I found it might create other unwanted problems. You are right the outer bracket will bolt on after drilling holes. The modifying would involve creating clearance notches in the frame. The only picture of a 70-72 K frame on ebay is attached. Look at the outer edge near where the brackets would bolt on.

So you're saying that with just drilling the holes in the K and using 66-69 LCAs with the bracket, a 66-69 Sway bar will bolt in? I never thought of that and its good to know. Thanks

I think a 66-69 sway bay on a 65 K frame w/ 66-69 LCA's would be pretty easy, just drill the holes in the front lip. I know 65 B bodies had an optional sway bar, but I don't believe I have ever seen one.

This is what a '65 B-body sway bar looks like. The ends clamp to the strut rods so no special control arms needed. This setup was used from 1964 to early 1966.

Thanks, I wonder if any company reproduces that set up? As far as I know they push the adapted 66-69 bar.

I don't think anyone makes them. Kind of an obscure setup. The best thing about them is that they simply bolt on without changing any parts. The easiest place to find them is early '66 Chargers.
