awsome car,, why full, 1/4s??? they looked decent??
looks great,,, i hope you got a "set" price on all the metal work.... instead of by the hour....
jc
Full 1/4 panels were chosen in lieu of replacing the lower sections. The lowers were rusted/rotted pretty much from the front of the wheel openings to the rear of the panel. Also had some rust in the areas around the bottom of the rear window corners. With the improved quality of the newer replacment AMD full quarters we opted for this choice verus piecing all the new metal in these areas. We could have gone either way. However, I trust Vance's judgment on this as he is well recognized in the Mopar community as a top notch restorer.

Thought I would post some more photos of detail items that I have procured or had restored. First is an NOS headlight motor.

Hard to believe it has been so long since I posted. The body work has been on hold for some time and has finally started to progress again. I am hoping the momentum is just starting to pick up. Here is a photo of the full trunk floor and trunk extensions in place.

Work is continuing on the rear valance and tail light panel. Looks like the AMD lower valance corners are going to need quite a bit of modification to fit properly. Once the tail panel is squared away repair of the outer wheel houses will be completed.

A wise decision, much better to replace the ENTIRE qtr, than play with patches, that regardless of how well they were done, will come back to haunt you many years down the road....it's going to be a killer car when completed

Some more progress to report. The roof skin has been re-welded in place. fitting of the PS quarter panel is underway and the tail panel is still being completed.

Quarter is being cut to fit and aligned with adjacent panels. Just fixtured in place right now. Looks like the AMD trunk extension is going to need some cut & fit to mate properly to the AMD quarter panel wheel opening area. The outer wheel house lip is also being replaced.
