1340busa OP member 1 Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 42 georgia	im going with a pro comp dist and coil. i need to bypass my resistor. it is a 4 prong does the resistor have anything to do with the alt.? if not can i eliminate the wiring from the resistor forward?

RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,041 Lincoln Nebraska	If it is a self contained dist w the ECU inside of it & a full 12V external coil yes toss the ballast & tie the run and start wires together ign1/ign2) & run them to the coil positive and to the dist whichever wire is the feed for it, red maybe.
