Was getting ready to install the ebrake assembly on my 70 Challenger and realized I have no gaskets for mounting it. Jim Filmore and I have been emailing this morning and he has not had any request for them but is willing to help. On my old unit, there appears to have been a rectangle gasket (the tan residual material on the mounting bracket), however the manual mentions two sealing washers for the studs.

So what did you have and what did you do to seal your e brake mounting bolts?

Mine had two circular white foam gaskets. New ones were included in the kit I got from Jim.

The ones in Jim's kit are for the 4 speed clutch bracket. If your car is an automatic, then you would have had those left over and been able to use them. I have an extra master cylinder foam gasket that will not be used and am thinking of just making one out of that since I'd like to try to put the dash in today.

Joe I used a rectangular piece of thin white styrofoam similiar to the piece under the gas pedal.

The tan residual material is seam sealer from the corner...I found two round circles on most of my cars, but I haven't dealt with a lot of 70's

That's what I did. Made one out of scrap.

Have owned 25+ e-bodies and all have had two round gaskets over the studs.
Back when JIM first started making gaskets these were on his original gasket list if I recall.
