I don't know if there is a difference at all. But if you are looking to buy stuff check out this: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...e=0#Post6460004

Yeah, they're different.

Yearone shows 2 different options for carpet: Automatic or 4-speed.

Unfortunately only after I struggled installing my new carpet did I decide to log on and see what the experts say about it. I bought new carpet for my 68 Coronet 440 (R/T Clone). It has bucket seats, auto, no console. I have it in there and it it nice and tight over the driveshaft hump alongside the seats, but when I bolted the ratchet shifter down to the hump a little forward of the seats I get a big bulge on either side of the hump around that shifter and forward, basically from the front part of the seat to the firewall. Ordered it from these guys

http://www.trimparts.com

through eBay and didn't realize until 5 months later when I finally got it in the car and doing the install that they must have sent me the wrong stuff.

I guess at least I know what the problem must be, the extra carpet bulging up must be for the 4-speed hump (that is not there).

Or the stock shifter is designed to mount to the welded brackets on floor, and you are bolting an aftermarket shifter directly to tunnel, and there's where the bulges are coming from. I had a 4 speed carpet that had a definite bulge-shifter allowance area on drivers side of hump.

I wanted a replacement for the carpet that was in there before, auto on the colum and no console, that's what I told them, but I think I ended up with something different. The car was originally a bench seat, auto on the column, I just swapped to buckets and a Quicksilver shifter, so there is nothing between the seats. Just wanted the carpet flat over the tunnel like it was originally.

I don't think I quite understand what you are saying, can you claify for me?

Thanks.

I get what you're saying now, and did you have to trim any material off of the outsides of carpet? Last couple I had, that's what was nec to get carpet to lay down nicely.

I was hoping I could just pull it outwards and trim the extra, but it doesn't seem to work out that way. It lays correctly over the tunnel between the seats, and nice and flat under the seats as well, and probably up by the firewall too, but there is that bulge in between there that is going to be tough to get rid of.

Contacted the company, they wanted the part number off of the original box. Of course my luck the kids helped me clean up the shop 2 days earlier and it went out with the trash. I told them that sent them all the info I had and a couple pictures. Short version is either they sent me the wrong carpet or this is some of the worst fitting carpet I have ever seen.

I have it pulled as tight as I can around the seat area (in fact a little too tight on the driver's side creating a little gap along the tunnel) to try to get the extra out. You can see there is a lot of extra carpet around my shifter, right where the 4-speed hump would be.
