Air conditioned... more specifically an RV2... was to be posible ?

I know 440s auto got them. Manuals, not I guess because the High revs or something like that. Six pack not no matter auto or manual same as Hemis, but I think due the poor room.

whats would make not to fit an RV2 on an HEMI auto beside the room.

Your speaking of an original chrysler unit ? The hemi's heads with valve covers and intake set I believe higher in the engine compartment so room is the issue. I looked at that option when I was building my clone hemi cuda convertible because I wanted air on the engine, the best compact option that fit was the sanden compressor. I did alot of cosmetics to the compressor to make it look like it belonged even though we know hemi's didn't come with air. I removed all external mounting lugs except the ones I used to mount the unit, then smoothed the case and glass beaded. Sprayed the case semi-gloss black and used blackened hardware to install it, I thought the end results looked great.

I'm not picture posting smart. Go to the buchillon pulley site. spelling may not be 100%,
and it will give you an idea of the mounting and set up.

I'm just wondering about this due the power making some damage on the compressor ( yes, stock RV2 compressor ), belts or whatever... or maybe the small jumpy iddle making some damage...

so if you get more less same engine specs than a 426Hemi ( power and slightly jumpy iddle ), but with room to fit the stock RV2, will be a problem with that

Pretty sure there was a 70 300 Hurst that had a hemi with an RV2 compressor in a mopar mag , I'm sure I have the mag in my collection. Think the claim in the mag was that is was factory built exec car.

Part of the reason that the A/C wasnt available had to do with the massive girth of the pump unit, which sat right in the way of the front carburetor of the HEMI. A single 4 barrel would certainly help fitment.
I have seen guys mount the Sanden pump below the alternator. When they use an electric fuel pump, theres more room there....Hm......

i had a buddy who had a 71 RT/SE recreation that had a 604 ci hemi with a indy single plane intake that had A/C with the original compressor.
he sold it to a guy in michigan who had it for a short time, he worked for chrysler. when the economy tanked he listed in the B bodies for sale for a while. i think his name was hemiviper or viper something.

perception is 90% of reality

If you use an electric fuel pump you can mount a Sanderson compressor under the alternator and route the hoses either through the firewall, or hide the majority of them by routing them through to cam bolt adjuster access hole in the inner fender well and back through the firewall under the fender. makes for a pretty stealthy A/C add on, especially if you want to keep the top of your engine bay uncluttered and stock appearing.

I installed the under-alternator kit from BPE on my 69 charger. I used their hose and condensor kit as well. I bought the mastercool hose crimper to make the hoses. It worked great on the -6 and -10 hoses but not at all on the -8 discharge hose. I tried making two -8 hoses and both times it made bad looking crimps that didn't seal, maybe I got a bad die. I ended up using aeroquip braided hose for the -8 discharge hose (it runs under the car and is not really visible). It was pricey but worked great. I would recommend the aeroquip hose for this setup if you don't mind the look. I left the drier in the factory location because there isn't much room between the radiator support and grill on a charger because of the vacuum, headlight assemblies. Overall the system works great and can get down to 16°F on a 65°F day. Having the compressor under the alternator makes it harder to work on the a/c (more work to get out, hard to get to the fittings), but it does look cleaner.

but I'm not sure about the exec bit, could've been. I seem to recall three of these were built? Maybe convertibles?

Ummm , NO , the hemi was a RACE engine , there is no place on a race engine for air conditioning

There were no factory built 1970 Hurst 300 Chryslers built with Hemis, however, there are several that have been converted to hemi power running around

Nice setup, good way to run a "big cube" Hemi, in a SLEEPER package!!

Riddle me this: If the HEMI IS a race engine, why are there so many roaming the streets in other
body packages beside it's "standard" production
chassis - the "B" Body!!

with ya. Maybe a dealer option switch-a-roo?
There could have been a FACTORY option
on the 440 "Six Pack", but none on the HEMI.
